Postage and payment

Payments accepted

We accept the following payments.

  • Sterling cheque made payable to the ‘The Keel Row Bookshop’
  • Credit and debit cards. Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch or Delta
  • Paypal
  • Cash (in person, at the shop only)

Any prices listed on this site will be in pounds sterling (GBP)

Postage and insurance

All postage prices include insurance.

We try to put all goods in the post within three working days (many items get dispatched sooner). If you need your purchase quickly, let us know. We may be able to post it the same day.

Local customers are welcome to collect purchases at the shop to save on postage.

Book condition

All items are guaranteed to be as described. Any item can be viewed at the shop during opening hours.

Refunds & Cancellations

Items can be returned for a refund. You must let us know that you returning the book and the reason why you require a refund. The book should be returned promptly (within one month of receiving it) and it must arrive in the same condition it was originally dispatched.

If you require cancellation of an order then we advise you to contact us by telephone immediately as most orders are dispatched on the same day the order is placed. Cancellation of orders by consumers can only be accepted in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

If the order has already been dispatched then we suggest you follow the instructions in the preceding paragraph and return the item to us.

Loss & Damage

If a book is lost or damaged in the post we will endeavour to provide a full refund.
